For V8 boutique point-to-point amplifiers the design principle was to make it reliable and the signal path as short as possible from the guitar to the speaker. The performance is very close to A-Class and can preferably be played in high volume to fully utilize the harmonic distortion. The amp EQ is not the usual copy of the few but its own design to give very pleasing and dynamic characteristics for any playing style.
V8 Roadster 30W Head
This head is very flexible guitar amplifier. With our unique Base Switch you can shape your sound on power amplifier side for the favourable feedback or presence setting.
Because this amplifier has cathode biased output tubes you can change tubes without biasing and use 6V6 and 6L6 tubes in 15W position.
In 30W position you can use 6L6 tubes or even try them together with EL-34. With one tube the amp gives 6-20W depending on settings.
